SyncThermology, the experts in providing clinical standard thermography to the equine and veterinary industry nationally, are delighted to announce today the sponsorship of local (Northamptonshire based) Equine Veterinary Surgeon, Lucinda Ticehurst BSc BVMed Sci (Hons) BVM BVS MRCVS, to ride in a series of national point-to-point (PPA) meetings this season.

Lucinda, with a lifelong passion for horses, is a successful rider with a respected and long-standing competition career spanning multiple equestrian disciplines over a number of years. She is currently training and caring for her three horses, Joker (25), West Cork Flash (12) and Breezy Kin (8).

Lucinda has been very busy gearing up for the rapidly approaching point-to-point season with West Cork Flash and Breezy Kin with their first runs planned for early in 2017. West Cork Flash is an experienced racer, both under rules and in point-to-points with several successful placings in his first season whilst taking home every tack and turn out prize going! Together, they have formed a strong basis and relationship to further their racing career. Breezy Kin, although new to Lucinda, promises success also, with several good wins and placings over chase fences under rules already and is a very exciting addition.

Lucinda Ticehurst comments, “I am thrilled to have the support of SyncThermology for this forthcoming point-to-point season, which promises to be an exciting, as well as, busy one! I have worked with SyncThermology in my capacity as an Equine Vet and believe their service to be greatly beneficial as a physiological tool alongside other diagnostic tests and feel proud to wear their name!”

Lucinda, who graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, Nottingham University in 2014, was involved in a number of diverse equine cases during her training where she spent time in Australia, Argentina, Africa and India. During this time, she undertook charity work with animals affected by extreme poverty to top class polo pony medical and surgical management and reproduction. In a personal and professional capacity, Lucinda has a keen interest in orthopaedics as well as the performance horse with the aim to optimise performance and longevity, as well as, preventative care. She works with all types of horses including American Miniatures, hairy cobs and elite eventers.

Jules La Garde, Branch Manager of SyncThermology East Midlands says, “We are proud that Lucinda is going to be carrying our name. Her passion for all things horse related in and out of practice combined with her skill, success and integrity are synonymous with our brand. We wish her and her horses all the very best fortune for 2017 and the team look forward to supporting her all the way!”

Lucinda’s progress and success during the point-to-point season including the Ladies’ Opens, Novice Riders and Members races will be provided on the SyncThermology website, for all to follow.

About Syncthermology – www.syncthermology.com
SyncThermology has been providing the veterinary industry with all aspects of thermology using clinical standard thermology equipment specifically designed for physiological testing since 2009. Initially specialising in equine screening, SyncThermology then expanded their services to include small animals and zoology work in 2014.
The company’s aim is to ensure that the service is used in every day veterinary medicine alongside other diagnostic tests. In most cases, thermography should not be used as a standalone diagnostic tool and instead, needs to be integrated into veterinary practices to be used effectively as a diagnostic test and prognostic indicator. SyncThermology currently work in conjunction with many practices & professionals with their own team of veterinary surgeons who provide results.
SyncThermology has a scientific and evidence based approach to thermology and its role as a diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine. With established experience in the medical sector, SyncThermology strongly believe that the same clinical standards and principles need to be applied to veterinary thermography.
Recent Award
SyncThermology is proud to announce that they have received the Best in Equine & Companion Animal Screening Award – UK this October at Animal Health Awards 2016. This award is the first of its kind to be awarded to a company working in the thermography field.
